J&I’s Dupont Imron and Dupont Centari paint has a two year warranty and gives our truck beds the advantage over powder coat. J&I paint will stick with you where as powder coat is subject to chipping and rust pockets and cannot be touched up.

J & I Manufacturing and DuPont have joined forces to bring you paint coatings designed for our truck bodies.

DuPont paint is highly durable and can be touched up- Powder coat is durable but can not be touched up.

We now use a 4 stage, metal wash iron phosphate pre-treatment system. This operation cleans and pre-treats metal parts, applying a protective coating against corrosion. The iron phosphate pre-treatment provides a solid foundation for the subsequent paint operations.

Trained J&I paint applicators apply either a DTM (Direct to Metal) Imron coating designed to give you outstanding color and gloss retention along with excellent adhesion and flexibility, or the latest DuPont Hybrid Corlar epoxy primer, top coated, using Centari 5000, a high performance, two component, chemical and solvent resistant, high gloss acrylic urethane enamel.

The DTM coating is standard or our NS and OS Models. The Hybrid Corlar coating process is standard on our Roughrider, Ranch Hand, and Foreman Models also available as an option on all other models.

All of these processes are backed by DuPont’s comprehensive warranty, including 85% gloss retention over two years, a national network of Certified Repair Facilities, and over 550 field representatives committed to customer service and support.

All of our testing and customer feedback has been very positive on all of our new processes and coatings. All truck bodies coated with the DuPont coating will have a DuPont decal to specify that DuPont product was applied to the body.
